🤝 Who is welcome at Primal Arts Fest?

Primal Arts welcomes all adults over the age of 21 who treat each other with respect and consideration. Treating everyone with respect and equality is at the core of our values. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, prejudice, or sexism.

Our Commitment: It is our firm belief that every individual deserves to be treated fairly and with dignity. At Primal Arts Fest, all activities require explicit, informed, embodied, and affirmative consent from all participants. Self-expression, sexual liberation and experimentation, self-discovery, and the right to remain unharmed are valued here.

Inclusivity

Inclusivity means that you will not be turned away based on your gender, orientation, or race.

🏕️ Camping During Primal Arts Fest

Your camping experience can be as rustic or as comfortable as you desire, whether you prefer sleeping under the stars, a private room, or in a cozy dormitory-style cabin.

Tenting sites with access to hot showers and indoor plumbing is included in your registration, and you have the option to upgrade to a bed in a private room or cabin with your group or a join a group of new friends.

🍽️ Food and Drink During Primal Arts Fest

Sharing a meal with others is one of the most enjoyable parts of any gathering and an ancient form of bonding. At the Primal Arts Festival, we understand this and offer a Dining Hall Meal Plan for attendees who prefer not to worry about planning, packing, and preparing their food while camping.

This meal plan allows you to join other campers for delicious meals in a friendly and communal setting. Meal Plan not right for you?

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Who attends Primal Arts Events?

If you're not sure what to expect at Primal Arts Fest, we understand. We have people from all walks of life coming together to enjoy a beautiful campground, and it's important to us that everyone feels comfortable and welcome. Our attendees include engineers, doctors, mechanics, teachers, lawyers, homemakers, scientists, and clerks, to name just a few.

We've seen people of various religions attending our events, including agnostics, pagans, Christians, spiritualists, Jews, and more. However, we are not a religious organization, and we don't expect anyone to believe or participate in anything they don't wish to. Our events and fires have a decidedly pagan and spiritual bent, with our members and facilitators calling on their own practices and beliefs to create a unique experience for everyone.

All events are optional, and every attendee is welcome at every event hosted during the four-day event. If you have a djembe, bodhran, or other percussive instrument, you're welcome to bring it and participate in the drum circles.

Clothing optional? Is this a nudist thing?

You are free to wear anything or nothing. No one will pressure you either way. All we ask is that you are respectful of everyone around you and their individual choices. Once you are beyond the parking lot, anything goes as long as you feel comfortable. You are in a private campground, down a private road, away from onlookers. It is OK if it takes you some time, feel free to take it slow and do what feels right for you.

My privacy is important to me. What is your photo policy?

We value this highly. The only photography allowed in public spaces of the campground is taken by our vetted photography team. All photography is opt-in. Attendees are opted-out by default. If you do choose to opt-in, you then have the further choice to opt-in or out for any marketing usage of your image.

Our photo policy for PAF25 can be reviewed here, check back for the policy PAF26, but the basics won't change.
